There Are Some Giant Clouds of Alcohol Floating in Space

This insane discovery was actually made back in 1995 and ever since then it’s been under close inspection by every astronomer available. Near the constellation Aquila, you will find yourself the strangest cloud imaginable, as this massive gas bubble appears to be over 1,000 times larger than our solar system and yes, it is made mostly of ethyl alcohol.

There is enough alcohol in it to actually last us a whole billion years altogether, granted that is if every single person over on Earth were to drink around 300,000 pints of it every day. Joke’s aside, there are some pretty round additions to it, as it appears to contain carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide and ammonia. These three alone are meant to give you quite an indigestion but coupled with the methanol component you are sure to enjoy it as your last drink on Earth. But that’s not all, as yet another alcohol cloud was discovered in the Sagittarius B2 Cloud which also contains the dreaded antifreeze fluid.

Many believe that if this alcohol stash is going to spill over on any of the distant stars, life might actually accidentally form up on them, since ethyl alcohol can actually be considered an organic compound which is one of the main building blocks of life. Yes, you’ve heard that right, alcohol might actually lead to life emerging in outer space. You’ve heard it here folks, and we couldn’t be prouder of it either.
