Following a recent article by Peter Dockrill entitled, “NASA Says We Need to Talk About What Happens When We Find Life Beyond Earth,” Daniel Turcotte— Director General of the Embassy for Extraterrestrials Project—is extending an invitation to NASA representatives to discuss the imminent arrival of Extraterrestrials to Earth.
Even if NASA officials argue they have not yet found any evidence of humanoid extraterrestrial life so far in the narrow part of the infinite universe they have been observing, as the Serbian philosopher—Dejan Stojanovic—said, “Do not look too far for you will see nothing!” By looking light years away to find signs of life it’s easy to develop tunnel vision and forget that right here we have traditional texts, cultural artifacts and legends from ancient civilizations from around the world that contain plenty of evidence of contacts between extraterrestrials and the people of the Earth. In fact, traces of many such encounters still exist today.
UFO sightings have been reported worldwide throughout our history, and have been increasing lately. Most end up having commonplace explanations, but for some there is still no earthly explanation at all (see Fast Fact #11 at page 21 in our booklet). Observations of a mile-long craft and smaller crafts making seemingly impossible maneuvers and attaining speeds far beyond the capabilities of today’s technology have been made in both the United States and Britain by commercial and military airline pilots, and other highly qualified observers. Several of these cases have received extensive news coverage recently. In fact, more and more former high-ranking government and military officials are coming forward to relate their experiences. Obviously, individual sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) should be rigorously scrutinized, but out of the tens of thousands of UFO reports that cannot be explained, if only one came out to be the true sighting of an extraterrestrial craft, then that one sighting would be proof of the existence of at least one extraterrestrial civilization.
On top of that, let’s not forget about crop circles—those strange and often circular shapes that are often times found in grain fields. Until recently, the origin of these “agroglyphs” was a mystery, and their increasingly complex shapes challenged all mainstream scientific hypotheses.
The United States National Security Agency (NSA) has released documents showing how extraterrestrial messages might be encoded. The documents were released to the public under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act.(4) and showed NSA consideration of the need to communicate with extraterrestrials. Also, it is obvious that the extraterrestrial’s technology is way ahead of our own. More recently (2019), the American Navy cryptically released a top-secret UFO video showing at least one vessel that is not from our world. The navy pilots observed and filmed UFOs, as they zoomed in from 60,000 feet to 50 feet above the Pacific Ocean in a matter of seconds, alarmingly without producing any sonic booms.
As mentioned by Peter Dockrill in a new scientific commentary led by none other than the space agency’s chief scientist, James Green, NASA researchers make the case for why we need to establish a framework for reporting evidence of extraterrestrial life and that “our generation could realistically be the one to discover evidence of life beyond Earth. With this privileged potential comes responsibility.” I believe that not only will our generation be the one to discover evidence—evidence, btw, that I believe already exists—but we will be the first generation in modern times to welcome an Extraterrestrial civilization on Earth!
Therefore, establishing a framework to prepare for their arrival becomes essential because on the one hand, they wish to be welcomed formally and respectfully, (as we would like to be welcomed if we were visiting a planet sheltering intelligent life) but on the other hand, they want to respect our laws and diplomatic protocol, and make sure Humanity is ready to welcome them peacefully. Clearly, we are not yet ready to welcome them and the world would have to agree on a diplomatic framework to welcome an extraterrestrial civilization. What we are proposing here is an Optional Protocol to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961) by adding an extraterrestrial civilization.
We have therefore prepared a draft entitled, “Optional Protocol Concerning Embassies for Extraterrestrials” and we intend for this document (or one with equal effect) to become the third optional protocol to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and thereby provide internationally agreed upon diplomatic arrangements for an official contact with Extraterrestrials. This will then enable our organization to commit to the tens of millions of US dollars that will be invested with one of the signatory countries for the construction of the Embassy for Extraterrestrials, a scientific research institute, and facilities for visitors and tourists.
In conclusion, not only are we inviting NASA to discuss the imminent arrival of an ET civilization to Earth, but also to participate in the development of a framework to prepare for their official arrival.
